Tribal involvement and use of citizen science are unique but not well documented. After reviewing eight case studies, we created a document that highlights Tribal citizen science examples. This session will showcase how Tribes use citizen science in environmental protection and management, share best practices across Tribes, and highlight ways that EPA and other agencies can support future Tribal citizen science activities. Attendees will gain insight and advice into how to start citizen science work to assist with ongoing environmental protection and education projects. Attendees will have access to the white paper and also be able to network with others interested in this topic.
