Historical uranium mine cleanup projects in rural communities on Navajo Nation lands require design and construction approaches that are technically defensible, adaptive to property-specific conditions, and responsive to residents. This presentation will describe the integration of real-time field decision-making, cleanup verification to accelerate cleanup while maintaining protectiveness and stakeholder/community confidence during a Time-Critical Removal Action (TCRA).
