This virtual, pre-recorded informational session will provide tribal government representatives and communities with an informational overview of the US EPA’s Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program. The presentation will describe the management of toxic chemicals at industrial facilities on and near tribal lands as well as discuss ways to help prevent or reduce pollution before it gets into the environment. A demonstration of our flagship tool, the TRI Toxics Tracker, will be included within the session in order to facilitate understanding of TRI data and how it can be used by tribes specifically. Additional resources and opportunities for engagement with the TRI Program will also be discussed. Attendees will receive the TRI Program and presenter’s contact information as well as links to TRI Program resources.
