Legacy underground storage tanks are a problem everywhere and can be very expensive to close and address properly. Did you know that brownfields funding may be available to help? Join Yukon River Inter-Tribal Watershed Council (YRITWC), a tribal response program, and Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s (DEC’s) Brownfields Program as they discuss opportunities for leveraging Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST) and Brownfields funding. In certain circumstances, combining these resources can expedite the cleanup process of contaminated sites areas while simultaneously promoting redevelopment initiatives.
