This session will explore the intersection of Tribal scrap tire management and EPA's proposed tire rule, which would expand the use of scrap tires as non-waste fuel in cement kilns and create additional end-market options for tire waste streams. A Tribal speaker will share real-world challenges associated with tire disposal on Tribal lands, including collection barriers, hauling costs, and tire pile management. Together, the panel will highlight how policy change, end-market development, and Tribal experience can work together to reduce tire piles and support cleaner, safer communities.
