ANTHC's Tribal Capacity Program works directly with Tribes to help build capacity within their communities. We do this by:
- Providing technical assistance to Tribes.
- Hosting a monthly GAP webinar and regional provider meeting that cover a variety of environmental issues that impact Alaskan communities and GAP management.
- Hosting the annual ATCEM since 1994, which brings together Tribal members and service providers to network and share information about environmental concerns in Alaska.
- Hosting an annual GAP workshop, Intro to GAP, and 7Generation trainings.
- Working with communities to purchase essential solid waste equipment.
In the presentation, we will provide more information about each of these topics, including the specific environmental concerns that are commonly seen throughout Alaska, and how we build relationships with Tribes.
