This presentation will be a “mini summit” that includes similar components. Participants will be invited to share their flood stories, experiences, and needs for flood information. We also plan to discuss art, symbols, and music related to water and flooding. Then USGS flood-related science and tools will be presented. We will describe ongoing flood-frequency analyses, a study on changes in flooding in 9 states in the Midwest, and how to use the USGS StreamStats website for obtaining streamflow statistics and watershed information.
