The Metals Exposure and Toxicity Assessment on Tribal Lands in the Southwest (METALS) Superfund Center at the University of New Mexico has culturally tailored its communications for Tribal communities at Southwestern Superfund sites by integrating Native art and Indigenous Ways of Knowing. These communication practices, led by the Research Translation and Community Engagement Teams, guide how research is presented to partner Tribal communities, the Pueblo of Laguna and Navajo Nation. We present five examples of our efforts:
