This presentation was delivered as part of the Tribal Lands and Environment Forum: Virtual Gathering in August 2021 by Danielle Schopp with the KSU Tribal TAB and Kristin Bastis with the USDA.
An interagency work group was formed, comprised of representatives from HUD (lead agency), the Council on Environmental Quality, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Interior, Transportation, Agriculture, Commerce, and Energy. In 2015 the interagency work group developed recommendations in the Coordinated Environmental Review Process, with their final Report published on December 15, 2015. The report made twelve recommendations to improve efficiencies. The Interagency work group has a draft implementation plan for the recommendations of the 2015 report. Tribal consultation has taken place through several webinars in summer 2021. The Task Force will provide an update of the draft implementation plan.
