In 2016 the Pueblo of Santa Ana directed the department of natural resources to address threats to air quality. In the five years since, we have identified threats to air quality at Santa Ana including nearby industry, metropolitan ozone, and road dust. The program has grown step-by-step, from the EEOP internship and a basic assessment of Air Quality, to sampling, monitoring and EIs with a 103 grant, to a current 105 with Treatment as a State in sections 107(d)(3), Section 126, and Section 505(a)(2) of the Clean Air Act.
