The 128(a) Tribal Brownfields Program may require the completion of complicated tasks multiple times. The program staff also deals with potentially hazardous tasks and situations. Such tasks are easier to perform and hazardous tasks safer when Standard Operating Procedures "SOPs" are developed to assist in the implementation of such tasks. The tasks can vary from administrative tsks to field operations. The development of SOPs can make the implementation of such tasks easier and more efficient and also assist new staff in learning and completing those tasks. This can be an important component of Succession Planning for training and getting new staff up to speed in the program.
