Successes and Opportunities of a 128(a) Brownfields Program
Julia Jacobs, Brownfields Redevelopment Officer with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, will share accomplishments from 13 years of experience in a Tribal Response Program. The SRMT brownfields program has addressed abandoned homes, solid waste dumping, and petroleum-contaminated sites. The audience will hear Julia's experiences with effective community engagement and successful combining of multiple funding sources to complete brownfields projects. Scott Nightingale will explain the services provided by KSU Tribal TAB to TRPs, particularly those related to positioning a community for Infrastructure Law funding.
