During this session, representatives from several Tribes and U.S. EPA will introduce EPA land revitalization programs and highlight successful real-world examples of how Tribes have used them to bring resources like housing, a wellness center, parks, and renewable energy to their communities. EPA's land revitalization programs provide technical assistance, grant funding, and tools to assist Tribes in transforming their previously contaminated sites into safer, greener land, and sometimes in ways that may offer jobs to its residents. Whether a property is an abandoned industrial facility, a waste disposal area, a former gas station, or Superfund site, EPA has informational, financial, legal, and technical revitalization tools to support your efforts. Participants will leave equipped with basic information on programs, examples of successful implementation, and instructions on how to get started.
