This session takes the admittedly dull and boring subject of regulations and turns them into a fun and instructional board game. In the first part of the session, participants will learn some basic best practices and regulations for C&D landfills. Then it's game time! Players will be quickly and enjoyably be introduced to many steps that can help, as well as hinder, C&D efforts. These include finding & obtaining tribal site approval and establishing operations for a successful C&D landfill. To win, players at a table must collectively accomplish each of a series of basic stages (milestones) involved in successful landfill siting and operations. The target audience includes Tribes that have or are considering operating a construction and demolition (C&D) landfill. Those interested in waste management operations would also benefit.
