Project management for infrastructure design and construction takes a whole government, not just one department. Construction on Tribal land requires collaboration that happens early and often. It is possible to achieve excellent results through proper project planning. Ideal presentation attendees are tribal environmental professionals. Attendees will learn: (1) When to engage internally for best project results. (2) What type of information should be given to other departments and when. (3) Guidance for NEPA permitting and cross-cutting authorities for construction projects. Attendees will receive a department roles checklist, a construction planning best practices from a tribal environmental perspective worksheet, and a NEPA cross-cutting authorities checklist. This presentation will include short learning checks and intermittent survey questions to keep audience members engaged.
