Pollution prevention (P2), also known as source reduction, is any practice that reduces, eliminates, or prevents pollution at its source prior to recycling, treatment or disposal. With the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, there is increased funding available to implement pollution prevention projects across the country. During the presentation, attendees will learn about the EPA P2 program as well as complementary programs such as Safer Choice and ENERGY STAR. This session focuses on future grant funding opportunities and provide examples of past grant projects. At the end of the session, attendees will have a deeper understanding of the P2 program and awareness of program offerings. Presenter: Kat Compton, Pollution Prevention Coordinator for EPA Region 10
This presentation was delivered as part of the Tribal Lands and Environment Forum in August 2022.
