What is NRDAR? After an oil spill or hazardous substance release, the Department of the Interior’s Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Program works with affected tribes and other government agencies to restore injured natural resources and address the public’s loss and use of the resources. From the Pacific Northwest to Oklahoma to New England, tribes have been equal partners with federal and state governments in the NRDAR process. This session will introduce you to the basics of NRDAR, and showcase examples of successful NRDAR projects with tribal involvement.
