This was the first virtual meeting of the Abandoned Hardrock Mine Network. We started off with a presentation by Justin Rice, from the State of Washington's Department of Ecology, about the work he and his team are doing. He went over how they are cataloging and mapping the abandoned hardrock mines in his state and his work with Tribal Nations and Native groups. We also had Krista Brown, from EPA's Office of Mountains, Deserts, and Plains, who talked about some of the work they are doing as well.
