Not In My Backyard! Addressing Open Dumps on Tribal Lands

There is more than one way to address open dumping. This panel of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Indian Health Service (IHS) speakers will discuss the priority of Open Dump elimination and the many ways to tackle them. This session will feature a demonstration of the IHS mobile app for assessing open dumps. From prevention, to assessment, to cleanup and enforcement mechanisms, we can eliminate open dumps by combining resources and opportunities from various programs. We all have a role in this important priority. This session is a call for action to work together, using a combination of tools, technologies, and resources to make a visible difference on tribal lands.
