EPA is developing a Quality Assurance Project Plan for Indian Environmental General Assistance Program (GAP) recipients who are engaged in solid waste program implementation. The purpose of this document is to ensure that environmental information (EI), such as observations and measurements, collected by a General Assistance Program (GAP) grantee is of appropriate quality (e.g. accurate, traceable, and reproducible) for its intended use. This will give EPA and Tribes a repeatable and defensible process to collect the needed data. The presenters will provide background information on the contents of the GAP QAPP, answer questions from interested tribal specialists about its application, and receive feedback on usefulness and potential for implementation, and potential modifications that might be beneficial.
