For those working as practitioners in the Natural Resource and Damage Assessment (NRDA) and Superfund Programs under CERCLA, it is imperative that these two programs work together under the requirements under CERCLA and within the context of Tribal, state, federal, and county governments capabilities. Communication and relationships are key in weaving these two programs together while incorporating cultural and traditional tribal and community values within a politically charged landscape.

46:44: During this session the presenters will discuss an overview of the Tittabawassee River NRDA Case and how the settlement came to be. The presenters will also discuss the Tribal signage project that DOW is working on with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. Attendees will learn about the NRDA process and also how the Tribe was able include tribal history and language into the restoration projects.
