Nora McDowell, Fort Mohave Topock Project Manager, presents Protecting the Sacred in an Environmental Cleanup – the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe and the Topock Remediation Project, via webinar on March 24, 2020. She has worked with her colleagues at the Hualapai Tribe, Chemehuevi Tribe, Colorado River Indian Tribes, Cocopah Tribe, and Quechan Tribe, going through design reviews for the Groundwater Final Remedy at the site. She will discuss how the Tribes have been engaged in this process over many years, how they have interacted with a variety of federal, state, and private entities, and how they have worked together as the Keepers of the River.
