Provide the history of the Quapaw Nation, and the relocations that lead to the reservation today. Give short background on the history of Tar Creek and the mining that occurred from the late 1800's till 1970, give insights to the contamination left above ground and the steps the local, state, and federal involvement it took to have Tar Creek on the NPL list. Provide an update on current and completed remedial projects and what the Tar Creek could look like in the future. I plan to provide a presentation including photos and videos with engaging topics that would motivate attendants to ask questions.
