Existing or potential grantee’s often underestimate what can be accomplished with 128(a) Brownfields funding. Not only will we discuss the ins-and-outs of 128(a) funding, we will talk about what makes a Tribal Response Program so valuable, and how it can be supercharged by accessing complimentary funding sources. Discussion will include a review of newly available BIL funding as well as more traditional ARC grants. It will also include a first-hand account of how the Passamaquoddy Tribe has used multiple funding sources to bolster a successful 128(a) tribal response program.
This presentation was delivered as part of the Tribal Lands and Environment Forum in August 2022.
