Update on the work being completed at the Tar Creek Superfund Site in Northeast Oklahoma, under the direction of the Quapaw Nation, State of Oklahoma and the Environmental Protection Agency. Since the Quapaw Nation began cleanup, more than 3 million tons of mine tailings have been removed and more than 350 acres have been returned to productive land use.
