The objective of this course is to provide an in-depth overview of AST systems. This course will include content on AST: Design (shop built versus field erected), Components/Terminology, Inspection procedures (visual and nondestructive tests), Specifications and standards, Appurtenances, Typical problem areas, Inspection report review guidance, and History. The course will be instructed by the EPA national AST/SPCC subject matter expert (SME). The target audience is tribal: inspectors, planners, fire officials, code officials, Tribal Emergency Response Commissions & Tribal Emergency Planning Committee members, environmental staff and AST owners and/or operators. The course is recommended as a practical accompaniment to the proposed USEPA SPCC Inspection Process and regulatory courses.
