My audience are individuals who are interested in the intersection of brownfields, climate change, and environmental justice. I discuss the Brownfields program in Sitka as it relates to two sites, one of which is used for resource harvesting and one that is not. Both sites are currently impacted by climate change. I discuss what environmental justice means for brownfields in Southeast Alaska to provide safe, healthy, and accessible natural resources for community members. Attendees can learn how to assess brownfields in their communities with regards to climate impacts and how environmental justice can help protect, remediate, and otherwise give back what has been taken away. Please see the attached power point presentation.
