A look at three pilot programs implemented at Pala. First, we will look at a new mobile recycling trailer pilot geared towards increasing recycling rates at community events and gatherings. Next, we will explore lessons learned from a small-scale pilot working with tribal kitchens to divert food waste from the landfill. And lastly, we will take a deep dive into a joint business venture between Pala and our local waste hauler to set up a large-scale composting operation on the reservation. This successful partnership has been running for a number of years, bringing in revenue and cost savings for the tribe.
