Tribal attorneys, consultants, and environmental staff will hear case studies of sites where tribes compelled action at cleanup sites without the support of state or federal partners, or in the face of opposition. Using the tools available to tribes under CERCLA and tribal law can be an effective means of addressing releases of hazardous substances at sites that may not be a prioroty, but for the attention of an impacted tribe.
