Since the first functionality test was conducted by Mr.
William Purpora in 1972 to determine the cause of an inventory loss to using
equipment and technology to find leaks today, we will discuss the importance of
functionality testing. We will examine the history and evolution of
functionality testing along with the issues uncovered throughout the history of
testing.
