Software
engineers and database experts have designed and maintained a comprehensive
national and regional air quality database at Colorado State University (CSU)
and the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) for
WESTAR-WRAP member agencies. This database goes beyond what is available and
usable on the EPA Air Quality System (AQS). Access to this CSU/CIRA database,
which includes monitoring and emissions data and regional photochemical
modeling results of various types, is provided through an integrated suite of
well-documented tools and data displays on publicly-accessible websites. The
design and purposes of these websites hosted by CSU/CIRA and the data access
and visualization tools are reviewed and discussed during the webinar.
