The Yurok Tribe's Air Quality Coordinator will share a case study of responding to the historic 2020 Northern California wildfire season. Will share lessons learned during this extended hazardous wildfire smoke event including: tips for multi inter-agency cooperation, public outreach, air monitor technical tips, and the Yurok Tribe's advocacy to reintegrate prescribed cultural burning to restore tribal forested landscapes to improve cultural resources, environmental and human health and proactively reduce wildfires.
